These cookies are very festive and have a great holiday flavor. Purchase cranberries the day after Thanksgiving when they go on sale, and these cookies will be an inexpensive holiday favorite.

Dough[edit]

  1. In mixing bowl combine ingredients.
  2. Stir until batter is smooth.
  3. Chill for 3 hours.

Topping[edit]

  1. In saucepan, boil cranberries, marmalade, and honey.
  2. Once cranberries pop, continue to let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Set aside.

Glaze[edit]

  1. Combine powdered sugar, vanilla and milk in mixing bowl.
  2. Set aside at room temperature.

Preparation[edit]

  1. Remove dough from refrigerator.
  2. Divide the dough into thirds and roll out each third on lightly floured surface.
  3. Taking a small round cookie cutter (approx. 1½ inches wide) cut out dough.
  4. Place on cookie sheet.
  5. Top each button with 1 tsp cranberry filling.
  6. Cook in 350°F oven for 10 minutes, or until done.
  7. Set cookies aside to cool.
  8. Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze.
