Creamy au Gratin Potatoes

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Grease a 1 quart casserole dish.
  3. In 1 quart pan, over medium heat, cook frozen onion until tender.
  4. Stir in soup and cream cheese cubes.
  5. Cook, stirring constantly until smooth and hot.
  6. In casserole, alternately layer frozen potatoes and hot cream sauce, ending with a sauce layer.
  7. Cover and bake for 45 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and potatoes are tender.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
