Garlic Mushrooms in Wine Sauce

Description[edit]

Sauté a mix of cremini and white mushrooms with fresh garlic and red wine, then top with fresh rosemary for this traditional Spanish tapas dish. Optional red pepper in this easy-to-make recipe adds just the right amount of spice.

  1. Place the olive oil, garlic and crushed red pepper in a large sauté pan over very low heat.
  2. Cook until the garlic just begins to turn a light brown, then increase the heat to high and add the mushrooms.
  3. Sauté for 1 to 2 minutes, then add the wine, salt and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook for about 2 minutes.
  5. Uncover, then cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Top with the chopped rosemary and serve.
