Home-fried potatoes

A food dish made with potatoes that are sliced raw and then fried in butter or oil and seasoned with with a variety of ingredients such as salt, pepper and onions.

Home fries that are sliced and fried, often with finely chopped onions or green peppers. The potatoes can either be raw or boiled before slicing. Also called cottage-fried potatoes.
