Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook cabbage in boiling water for 7 minutes.
  3. Cook onion slices in boiling salted water until tender.
  4. Place layer of cabbage in 2-quart casserole, a layer of onions, and layer of cheese cracker crumbs.
  5. Dot with ½ cup butter.
  6. Make sauce of remaining butter, flour, salt, and milk.
  7. Combine with mushroom soup and pour over top.
  8. Sprinkle with ½ cup reserved cracker crumbs.
  9. Bake 30 minutes.
