Procedures

  1. Preheat oven to 425 °F.
  2. Lightly grease baking sheets.
  3. Sift flour, salt, and Sugar into a bowl.
  4. Rub in the butter quickly and lightly.Add fruit.
  5. Mix in milk, a little at a time.
  6. With floured hands knead lightly to a soft dough, adding a little more milk if necessary.
  7. Roll out evenly but lightly about 1/4 inch thick on a floured board.Cut out scones.
  8. Place on baking sheets and bake 12–15 minutes.
