Description

Ireland is rich in culinary delights and colcannon is one of the popular main dishes in the country.

Ingredients

Procedures

  1. Cook cabbage in water with salt for 10 minutes. Drain.
  2. Set aside cabbage.
  3. In another saucepan, bring milk to a boil.
  4. Add potato and leek.
  5. Simmer over low heat until vegetables are cooked.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Add nutmeg, pepper and salt. Mash.
  8. Add cabbage to the mashed potato and leek and mix well.
  9. Place mashed vegetable in a serving dish.
  10. Drizzle melted butter on top.
  11. Serve hot.
