Description
The Mint Julep is a mixed alcoholic drink, or cocktail originating in the Southern United States. The word 'julep' is derived from the Persian 'julab' meaning rose water. There are a number of ways of making a mint julep. All are served over crushed ice in a julep glass with a narrow cocktail straw. It is correct to use the straw when drinking this .

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoons sugar syrup
- mint
- bourbon
Procedures
- To make the sugar syrup, simply heat equal parts sugar and water, then cool.
- Add syrup and mint to a glass of crushed ice.
- Fill the glass with bourbon and serve.
