Description
This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Mclean Estate in Irving, Texas in 1982. From "Catsrecipes Y-Group"[1]
Ingredients
- ½ cup shortening
- 1½ cups brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in ⅓ cup hot water
- 3 eggs
- 1½ cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 cups flour
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Mix all ingredients until well combined then drop on lightly greased cookie sheets and bake for 10 minutes.
