Placenta is an organ meat expelled soon after a birth. Placenta has a springy texture similar to the heart, but more sponge-like.
Whilst Human placenta has a taste akin to a mild liver, many beef recipes work well with human placenta. A human placenta typically weighs 1/6 of the baby's weight.
To prepare placenta, cut the membranes away with a sharp knife. Wash if desired. Treat the placenta as you would any other meat.
Warning
Uncooked human placenta can transmit diseases.
