This is a documentation subpage for Template:Citation metadata. It contains usage information, categories, interlanguage links and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Usage
Use this template to produce COinS metadata, which allows automated tools to parse citation information. This will allow users with appropriate browser plugins to export the citations, to find online access through their libraries, to find other pages using similar citations, and to perform other functions.
The template should be placed immediately after the closing </cite> tag containing a citation.
The parameters to be passed use the same names as Template:Citation, for simplicity. If you would prefer to use parameter names which match the COinS specification, try Template:COinS.
