Ingredients
- ⅓ cup honey
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup butter or margarine
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp almond extract
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup currants or raisins
- ⅓ cup golden raisins
- ½ cup almonds, chopped
- 2½ cups whole wheat flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cream together butter or margarine, honey, and brown sugar.
- Add eggs and extracts; mix well.
- Stir in currants, raisins, and almonds.
- Add dry ingredients; mix well.
- Drop by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheets.
- Bake 15 minutes.
