Description
Milk with cardamom. Cardamom helps the digestive system and is a spice greatly relied on in this country. Boiled with milk, cardamom helps to relax the body and is thought to calm the stomach, thus offering a good night's rest. Generally this drink is served hot in large English teacups or small coffee cups.
Ingredients
- 6 cups fresh milk
- sugar to taste
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
Procedures
- Combine all ingredients in a medium pot and bring to a rapid boil, stirring constantly.
- Boil for one or two minutes.
- Remove from heat, transfer to a vacuum flask and keep warm until ready to drink.
