Description
Fried chicken [1][2] is a delicious crispy treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cut-up broiler chicken/ 2 lb. chicken legs and wings
- sterilized baron fat or pure lard
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp. tarragon or thyme or basil
- 1 large clove garlic
- salt
- pepper
Procedures
Brown chicken in shortening, turn only once. Place the browned chicken in a baking pan, sprinkle salt and pepper on top. Melt butter include the herbs and garlic clove, brush the meat with this mixture. Place in oven, heated to 300 degrees F for 35 minutes.
