Description

Fried chicken [1][2] is a delicious crispy treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cut-up broiler chicken/ 2 lb. chicken legs and wings
  • sterilized baron fat or pure lard
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp. tarragon or thyme or basil
  • 1 large clove garlic
  • salt
  • pepper

Procedures

Brown chicken in shortening, turn only once. Place the browned chicken in a baking pan, sprinkle salt and pepper on top. Melt butter include the herbs and garlic clove, brush the meat with this mixture. Place in oven, heated to 300 degrees F for 35 minutes.
