Wild Rice Party Dish

wild rice Party Dish

• 1/2 Cup butter
• 1 Cup wild rice
• 1/2 Cup slivered almonds
• 2 T. Chopped Onion
• 1/2 Pound Sliced Mushrooms
• 1 T. salt
• 2 T. sherry
• 3 Cups chicken broth

Combine All Ingredients Except Broth in a Heavy Skillet. Cook Until rice is Well Coated, Stirring Frequently. Place in Casserole With 3 Cups chicken broth And Cover. Refrigerate or Freeze. When Ready to Serve, Return to Room Temperature. Bake at 325 For 1 Hour or More. Serves 6Variation: Add 2/3 Pound Saut?ed Sausage.
