Tar-like

A descriptor of wine that possesses the aroma of hot tar. A positive wine tasting term, this characteristic is sometimes found in zinfandels and cabernet. The aroma of tar is one of the scent essences included in kits used in training the senses to distinguish certain characteristics of wine.
