A sweet food spread made from carrots that are ground, chopped, or shredded, that are then combined with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cloves. Carrot jam can be served as an appetizer topping by placing a small amount over cream cheese on a cracker. Or it can be used as an ingredient in a sauce to flavor salads and meats. With a flavor similar to chutney, this spread can be used to flavor a variety of foods.
