Vietnamese Spicy Beef Stew

Ingredients

• 3 tbsp oil
• 4 star anise
• 2 medium onions
• 1 inch cinnamon stick
• 10 green onions
• ½ tsp whole peppercorns
• 1 stalk lemon grass
• sugar
• 2 lbs stewing beef
• 5 cups water
• ⅓ cup yellow bean sauce
• 1 tsp chili powder

Procedures

1. Make a mixture with all the ingredients and boil them in the oil.
