Hungarian Beef Goulash over Rice

Makes 6 servings.



  1. Cook Beef in oil 8 to 10 minutes or until brown on all sides in 10-inch skillet.
  2. Add Onion and garlic; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until tender crisp. Pour off excess fat.
  3. Add broth, paprika, salt and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour or until Beef is tender.
  5. Combine cornstarch with water.
  6. Add to Beef mixture; cook, stirring, 2 to 3 minutes, or until thickened.
  7. Serve over hot rice. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired.
