Rice with Beef and Vegetables

  1. Bring the water or stock to a boil, and add the salt and the rice.
  2. Reduce the heat and leave to cook.
  3. Heat the oil and fry the onion lightly.
  4. Add the minced beef and fry for two minutes.
  5. Add salt, black pepper, piquante sauce, and tomato ketchup to taste.
  6. Add about ½ pt water and leave to simmer for about 10 minutes.
  7. When the rice is almost tender, add the beans, pumpkin, tomatoes and meat.
  8. Mix carefully and complete cooking.
  9. Serve hot.
