Bitter orange juice is the juice of bigarade or Seville oranges. Some reasonable substitutes include mixing 1 part lime or lemon juice with 2 parts orange juice or 2 parts grapefruit juice with 1 part lime juice and a dash orange zest or 2 parts lime juice wiht 1 part orange juice.
