French-style Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

• ⅓ cup corn syrup
• ⅓ cup white wine
• ¼ cup corn oil
• ¼ cup Dijon mustard
• 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
• 1 clove garlic
• 1 teaspoon salt
• ⅓ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
• ⅓ cup diced shallots

Procedures

1. Sauté shallots in a little corn oil until cooked but not browned.
2. Add remaining ingredients.
3. Simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Cool and serve.
