  1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F, and grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch rectangular pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine the sugar, flour, and xanthan gum.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a medium saucepan combine the oil butter, cocoa, and cola.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  6. Add the chocolate mixture to the sugar mixture.
  7. Beat until smooth.
  8. Stir in the marshmallows.
  9. Add the buttermilk, baking soda, eggs, and vanilla; blend well.
  10. Pour the batter into the greased pan.
  11. Bake 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
