Ham Bean Soup
Ingredients
- 2 cups dried navy beans
- 1 ham bone
- 2 quarts water
- salt and pepper
- 2 quarts milk
- 3 tablespoons butter
Procedures
- Drain beans.
- Add water and ham bone.
- Cook slowly.
- Pick meat from bone.
- Chop and return to bean mixture.
- Add milk.
- Heat and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add butter and serve.
