Highland Porridge

Description
Ingredients
- 3 cups (750 ml) water
- 1 1/3 (330 ml) cups large flake Oats/ corn flakes/ wheatflakes
- 1/2-cup (125 ml) dry milk powder
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Barbados Sugar
- 1-tablespoon (15 ml) butter
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) cinnamon
- 1/4-teaspoon (1 ml) allspice
- 1/4-teaspoon (1 ml) salt, to taste
- Handful raisins (optional)
Procedures
- Bring salted water to boil in a large pot.
- Stir in all the ingredients.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve with milk or cream and a sprinkling of Barbados.
