Lithuanian Sheet Cake and Icing
Ingredients
Cake
- 2 cups flour
- ¼ lb soft butter
- 4 tsp Bakers's cocoa
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup Crisco
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Icing
- ¼ cup butter
- 4 tsp Baker's cocoa
- ½ box powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 6 tsp milk
Procedures
Cake
- In a large bowl mix first six ingredients.
- Set aside.
- Mix next four ingredients and add to first mixture.
- Beat until smooth.
- Batter will be thin.
- Pour batter onto a jelly roll pan.
- Bake 20 minutes at 400°F.
- Make icing while cake bakes.
Icing
- Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
- Put icing on cake as soon as it comes from oven.
