Steaks Continental
Description
Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- ½ pound bulk pork sausage
- 1½ cups soft bread crumbs
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1 x 28-ounce can peeled whole tomatoes, chopped
- ½ cup gingersnap crumbs
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
Procedures
- Combine beef, sausage, breadcrumbs, onion, pepper and eggs in large bowl; mix well.
- Form into 6 patties.
- Cook in large skillet over medium heat until brown. Pour off excess fat.
- Add tomatoes, crumbs, curry powder and onion powder to skillet. Cover and simmer 25 minutes.
- Serve over hot rice.
