Description
Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients
1 cup uncooked
rice
1/2 cup
Sugar
1/2 teaspoon
salt
6 cups
milk
1 whole
blanched almond
1 teaspoon
vanilla extract
ground
cinnamon
for garnish (optional)
Procedures
Combine
rice
,
Sugar
,
salt
and
milk
in top of double boiler.
Cover and cook over simmering
water
1-3/4 to 2 hours or until thickened, stirring frequently.
Stir in
almond
and
vanilla extract
. Serve with
cinnamon
, if desired.
