Tempered Sauerkraut

Description

In Romanian: Varza acra calita.

Ingredients

• 1 medium cabbage
• 3 tablespoons lard
• a few pepper berries

Procedures

1. If the cabbage is too salty or too sour, wash it first.
2. Then julienne and place it in a pan with the hot lard to saute.
3. Keep stirring.
4. Adding a little water from time to time until it is done.
5. Add pepper and bake for 15 minutes.
6. Serve as a side dish.
