Vegetables with Cream Cheese Sauce
Description
This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Gingham Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1992. From "Catsrecipes Y-Group"[1]
Ingredients
- 16 ounce package frozen vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- 4 ounces cream cheese softened
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
Procedures
- Cook vegetables until almost done then drain and place in casserole dish.
- Melt butter in saucepan and stir in flour until smooth.
- Add milk, cream cheese, salt and pepper stirring until thick.
- Pour sauce over vegetables and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
