Three Bean Chili
Delicious three-bean chili, made with kidney beans, lima (or butter) beans, and Great Northern beans.
Ingredients
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- 1½ lbs ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- ½ tsp minced garlic
- 1 (16 oz) can red kidney beans
- 1 (16 oz) can lima beans or butter beans
- 1 (16 oz) can Great Northern beans
- 1 (15 oz) can tomatoes
- 1 (15 oz) can style tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp chili sauce or catsup
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
Procedures
- Drain and rinse all beans.
- Brown ground beef with vegetable oil; drain.
- Add remaining ingredients to slow cooker. Cover and stir occasionally.
- Put on low heat, can be fixed ahead and left on all day.
